Best Oily Fats For Your Diet.

When it comes to your health, "fat" is not necessarily a dirty word. You need some fat in your diet, and it actually performs some pretty impressive tasks like boosting energy, supporting cell growth, protecting your organs, keeping your body warm, and aiding in nutrient absorption and the manufacturing of hormones, according to the American Heart Association (AHA). And oils can be a great source of these healthy fats, but choosing the right variety is key. Olive oil takes the top spot for best oil. Made from ripe olives, olive oil is a basic ingredient of the heart-healthy Mediterranean diet and is best for drizzling on salads, pasta, and bread. Canola, flaxseed, avocado, walnut and sesame oils are all winner as well when it comes to adding health benefits. Oils to avoid in excess include coconut, palm and partially hydrogenated, all being high in saturated fat.

Body After Breast Cancer

You may have concerns about sexuality after breast cancer. Physical changes, especially after breast surgery, can make some women less comfortable with their bodies. There may be a loss of sensation in the affected breast. Other treatments for breast cancer, such as chemotherapy, can change your hormone levels and may affect your sexual interest and/or response. Relationship issues are also important. Your partner may worry about how to express love physically and emotionally after treatment, especially after surgery. But breast cancer can be a growth experience for couples – especially when partners take part in decision-making and go along to treatments.

Supplements to Help You Glow

Are you frustrated with dry skin, cracked lips, or dull hair? Natural dietary supplements or vitamins for hair and skin may be the answer you’re looking for. But while there’s no shortage of vitamins for skin and hair on the market, not all of them are created equal. You need to look for supplements with biotin, omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin C and iron. These vitamins and minerals help to increase shine to hair, strength to nails and clarity to complexion. Omega-3 fatty acids are a great vitamin for hair and skin. Omega-3s may boost the shine in your hair and keep your tender scalp from flaking and could have therapeutic value to many inflammatory skin conditions. Vitamin C is another vitamin for skin as it helps your skin retain collagen, giving it a smoother appearance. A study published in November 2017 in the journal Nutrients showed that vitamin C also helps in wound healing and helps to control inflammation. Many hair vitamins and vitamins for skin have the power to give you a younger-looking complexion, shinier strands, and stronger nails. Just make sure to check with a doctor before adding any of these supplements to your routine.

More Dads Staying at Home

Despite a few variations, the number of stay-at-home parents is similar to what it was nearly 30 years ago, according to the findings from new data released by the Pew Research Center. More than 11 million parents in the U.S. were not working outside the home in 2016, with the number almost identical to what it was in 1989. And compared to Gen X parents, there are 4 percent more Millennial moms and dads opting to stay home. Most notable was the increase among full-time fathers. Interestingly enough, the number of stay-at-home dads jumped from 4 percent in 1989 to 7 percent in 2016. The amount of moms staying home remained nearly unchanged, with 28 percent of moms home in 1989 and only a slight drop to 27 percent in 2016. The data acknowledges the shift of parents taking on full-time roles at home. While the number of stay-at-home moms remains steady, couples have been changing up the gender roles more than ever, with an uptick of dads also spending their days at home.
