What is Integrated Behavioral Health?

Integrated behavioral health is an emerging field within the wider practice of high-quality, coordinated healthcare. Generally, integrated behavioral health describes any situation in which behavioral health and medical providers work together to care for patients. More specifically, integrated behavioral healthcare can address mental health and substance use conditions, health behaviors, barriers to care, and their potential contribution to chronic medical illnesses, life stressors and crises, stress-related physical symptoms and other patterns of a patient’s overall health.

At The Veranda, we specialize in individual therapy care – incorporating psychodynamic, interpersonal, mindfulness and relaxation therapy – for children and adults needing integrated behavioral healthcare. For both children and adults, we offer screening and assessment tool, psychological testing (for depressive disorder, anxiety, etc.) and coordination of care while always incorporating the latest in medical technology. We take time to understand the often complex situations of each patient and carefully address each person’s specific concerns.

Please note this supportive service is available to established Veranda patients ONLY.
